Before delving into this blog post, I must acknowledge the Puyallup Tribe, who have cared for Mt. Rainier, known natively as Mt. Tahoma, for centuries. It is both a blessing and privilege to visit such sacred sites, and it's crucial to recognize and honor their cultural roots.

Working with Kayla and Jordan was a dream come true. Kayla won one of my giveaway shoots, and though we initially planned for a different location, switching to Paradise at Mt. Rainier turned out to be a wonderful decision.

We explored the park, finding perfect pockets of light amidst the glittering wildflowers and fauna on the mountain. The experience became even more special when we encountered a marmot and some deer during our time at the park.

I always encourage my couples to choose beautiful locations for their shoots, and Rainier looked stunning that summer. However, I couldn't help but notice the impact of climate change when I saw the mountain relatively bare due to the record-level melt-offs from the June heatwave, the most significant in over 50 years. Witnessing these signs from nature opens my eyes to my carbon footprint and the importance of taking action.

Here are more of the breathtaking photos from our shoot at Paradise and Reflection Lakes on Mt. Rainier, capturing the beauty of this remarkable place.
