Nice to meet you!

I feel like it has become my life purpose to empower people through imagery and help them heal. Every person is worthy of being documented during their time in this life.

Here’s a bit about me:

I’ll never forget the first time I picked up a camera. My dad used to take sports photos for my sister and I when we played volleyball, so we always had camera stuff around the house. I went out to my backyard and made my two childhood friends strut their stuff. I think we were maybe 14? It was awhile ago, but I’ll never forget the first time I felt when I got cool shots and made my friends feel beautiful. A lot of people will ask you, “What is your WHY?” and I have to say that my goal has always been to give people beautiful photographs of themselves, because they deserve beautiful photographs.

When I was 17 and a Junior in HS I was the editor in chief of my HS yearbook and probably took a good 70% of the photos in the book that year. And that’s where my journey truly started. Heading into my senior year, all of my friends contemplated between each other on who and how they were going to get their senior photos done, and some of them couldn’t afford the price of it because it’s definitely a luxury. So I volunteered, and those feelings of being proud to take photos for my friends resurfaced.I truly loved how it felt to make my friends feel beautiful and empowered.

So I got to take my friends senior photos, and then the next year it was my underclassmen friends photos, and then the year after that my friends siblings were heading into grad year; and suddenly I was 2-3 years deep into taking senior photos for the people in my life. After my 3rd year, I got the opportunity to start second shooting weddings, where I discovered my love for love and all the beautiful details that go into weddings. So between the social life of a 20 year old, senior portrait season and wedding season; I finally learned what it was all about to be apart of these monumental events and moments in peoples lives, whether they were strangers or I had known them for years.

And that feeling, is a beautiful one.

After a good handful of weddings under my belt, I went on my first international trip and again I fell in love with my life. So if you haven’t figured it out by now, I love to travel and will go anywhere you want to take me. Now in 2021, I’ve been able to travel to 11 different countries and so many different states.

2020 was truly a hard year for us all, and it was a year that left me wondering if I was doing the right thing with my life. I loved to take beautiful photos, but what did I truly want?

And then I realized I wouldn’t be me without this part of my life. I am a firm believer that we are not meant to live our lives at our desk, that we should pursue the things we are passionate about and the things that make us happy. I want to see all the places, learn from someone everywhere I go, make friends in different corners of the globe, and lastly I want to make people feel beautiful and empowered to live their lives and to see themselves the way that others do.

So here I am, in all my flaws and imperfections, super excited to meet you and get the opportunity to document the most important moments in your life-it’s an honor.
